North of Novalja, in an indented cove, is Stara Novalja. At the southeastern end of the bay stretches Planjka Beach (Trincel), one of the most beautiful natural sandy beaches, the largest in the northern part of the island of Pag. The place extends throughout the bay and  lungomare goes from Planjka to the old ferry dock at the exit of the bay. Jadra Beach is located on the other side of the bay right next to the old pier and is one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches on the island of Pag.

There are several diving clubs in Stara Novalja, so we can say that divers open and close the tourist season here. You can find accommodation in rooms and apartments in the family houses of kind hosts.
